John-David (“JD”) Coker is an associate attorney at Dunn, Craig & Francuzenko. JD joined Dunn, Craig & Francuzenko after previously working for Stern & Eisenberg. JD concentrates his practice on constitutional rights, civil rights, business, and commercial law.
JD is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and the State of Maryland. He is a member of the Virginia Bar Association, Fairfax Bar Association, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. JD appears primarily in the Circuit Courts and General District Courts of Northern Virginia.
JD obtained his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from University of Maryland Global Campus, while living in the United Kingdom, where he was admitted to the Dean’s list for academic excellence.
JD obtained his Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law where he was involved in The Innocence Project and Clemency Clinic. He also interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office of Maryland.
JD is originally from Savannah, Georgia and previously lived in the Northern Virginia area many years ago and was surprisingly lived only a few miles from his now wife, Carin. JD lives on a small farm with his wife, their daughter Savannah, and their two dogs; a golden retriever named Rosie and a miniature Dachshund named Chip.
